How to get your BBQ model and find part numbers?

Your model and serial number information could be in a few different locations depending on the manufacturer of your BBQ. This can include inside the cart, outside of the cart, under the drip pan, or on one of the legs on the grill.

You should inspect your BBQ burners every few months to ensure they are in good working condition. It is time to replace your BBQ burners when:

• The uniform holes surrounding the burner have merged into larger holes.
• You see large flames coming from the top of the burner (or the sides). This could be an indication of a break in the burner
• If there are cracks or splits in the burner.

How to check if your BBQ has a leak

• The first signs of a gas leakage could be a foul smell.
• Conduct a soap test – Coat all of the gas transmission gear (pipes, hoses, valves, etc.) with soapy water and then pressurise the system. If you see bubbles, you know you have a leak.

There a few handy tips to get the most out of your BBQ cooking:

• Dry your meat prior to placing on the BBQ – this will allow it to brown more efficiently
• Have a good instant read thermometer on hand to check if your meat is cooked correctly
• Flip your food regularly to get even cooking on all sides
• Clean your grill

How to maintain your BBQ

• Clean your BBQ after every use and give it a deep clean at least once a year
• Keep your BBQ under cover and away from the elements
• Clean out or replace the grease drip pan.
• If you are packing your grill away for the season, close and disconnect the gas supply.
