How to maintain your fridge drawers

Crisper drawers extend the life of your fruits and vegetables by controlling the airflow around them via the vents. Don’t overfill your drawer – they are designed to be around two-thirds full for optimal air flow.

Regularly cleaning your fridge crisper drawers will keep germs away. Give your drawers a quick inspection and wipe down once a week and a deep clean every 4-6 weeks. To clean your drawers, remove them from the fridge and wash in the sink with warm soapy water. Give them a light scrub before rinsing. Be sure to dry them thoroughly before replacing. For an extra deep clean, spray them with a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water, before washing with soapy water.

Choosing the right size fridge drawer

• To find the correct size drawer for your fridge or freezer, you will first need your model number.
• If unsure where to find your model number, check out our guide. Most manufacturers will not make you have to pull your fridge out to obtain model information on the back of it. Although it may be on the back, there is most likely a second copy (simpler version) on the inside of the fridge. If it is not located on the side of the door once you open it, look for it on the front edge of the fridge/freezer cabinet.
