Maintenance tips for your Bosch oven

If your Bosch oven has a self-cleaning feature, follow the instructions in your owner's manual to activate it. Remove all racks and accessories from the oven before self-cleaning.

To clean the interior of your Bosch oven:

Step 1:    Take out any racks, steel plates or accessories from your oven. These will be cleaned separately.

Step 2:    Using a damp sponge remove any excess spills or food scraps from the interior of your oven.

Step 3:    Apply a natural cleaning solution by mixing a cup of baking soda and a small amount of water until it forms a paste. Generously apply cleaning paster inside your oven. Avoid the heating elements. Leave overnight. Alternatively, you can use Aktivo Easy Off Oven/BBQ Cleaner. It is non caustic and can effectively remove grease, oil and build up.

Step 4:    Clean oven racks using warm soapy water.

Step 5:    Wipe your oven clean using a damp cloth to remove the excess baking soda paste.

Step 6:    Replace oven racks.

Step 7:    Give the exterior of your oven a clean by wiping with a damp sponge. If you have a stainless-steel oven, you can lightly spray with Aktivo Stainless Steel Polish. The polish repels dirt and dust and removes finger marks for a long-lasting shine.

Handy tips:

• Do not use stainless steel cleaners on black stainless steel. Instead use mild soapy water and a soft cloth.
• Avoid chlorine-based cleaners and abrasive cleaners or cloths
• If you see an “E” with a number on the display (ex: E30), press any key to stop the beeping. This is an error code message. Reset the oven by turning it off at the breaker. Wait 30 minutes, then turn the circuit breaker on. The oven should return to normal.
